The Little Rock Nine Written By: Me | Website Part 1: Setting The Scene I want you to imagine yourself living in the 1950's, as a black 9th grader, Where you are somebody who is getting death threats 24/7, getting bombed, getting insulted and battered- all because you wish to get a higher education. Well this is how the famous "Little Rock Nine" had to live just because they wanted to go to high school. Part 2: The Hardships Back in the late 1800’s and mid-late 1900’s black people were being treated as unequal to white people and not all schools and/or jobs would allow black people to get work/education making their lives difficult.
